Northern Stage Review

Editorial policy

Northern Stage Review aims to make theatre craft understandable without overstating what can be known. We distinguish explanation from opinion and revise the record when a detail is wrong.

Accuracy and care

We check factual statements against suitable source material and take care with names, terminology and context. Where a subject allows more than one approach, we say so rather than presenting a preference as a universal rule. We do not claim first-hand testing or research unless the article clearly explains what was done.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or determine an editorial conclusion.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Illustrations are not evidence of a real production, person or event unless the accompanying text explicitly establishes that context.
